Florence trip
I recently went on a trip to the beautiful city of Firenze. This is an oil sketch done in Via Beccheria in the ancient town of Lucca which we went to on a day trip. Got to give respect to those artists who paint scenes day in day out for the tourists - it's high pressure painting under people's watchful gaze.
The painting is for sale here https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/475316943/the-girl-in-the-blue-dress

Swash and buckle
Working on a swashbuckling pirate graphic novel. Trying to pin down the lead character with some Clark Gable-ness to him.

Portrait study
Portrait done using a limited palette of mostly orange. Good fun trying to work on Sargent's advice of holding to the midtone.

Carols by candlelight
Church choir card design. I went to a Nathan Fowkes workshop on colour and light last weekend through Schoolism. So I am trying to work out how to implement some of the principles Nathan talked about to improve my work. Practise will make perfect.

Christmas Special steam engine
Why does Santa have a train as well as a magical sleigh? This is a good question- most likely for entering countries with restricted airspace.

Just Married
Wedding card design. I went with a classic Bentley style car. Originally it was white but I changed it to green and increased the reflectivity of the paint. Was a challenge to work out the reflections.
